Mari & the Cumilla’s Cake studio
Meet Mari, the artist behind Cumilla’s Cake. Explore real hand-piped and hand-painted cakes made for celebrations in Cumilla, Bangladesh.
An artist, and a cake maker
Mari is the cake artist and owner behind Cumilla’s Cake in Cumilla, Bangladesh. The studio has been creating custom celebration cakes since 2020. The portfolio brings together her floral work, vintage piping, hand-painted scenes, holud designs and personal celebration ideas.
Where to follow the work
@cumillas_cake on Instagram is the studio’s everyday feed, with more than 550 posts since 2020. Finished cakes are numbered in their captions; ON-457 went up on 5 November 2026. The story highlights (Lily, Gaye Holud, Anniversary, Baby Girl, Behind the Cake and Her Moments) are the quickest way to see a whole theme at once. New cakes also appear on Facebook and TikTok.
Mari’s own account, @mariyarts_, is where her art and personal style live. She also runs Giftly (@giftlyarts): “rare finds, pretty things, special gifts.”
Start with the real work
Browse the cake wall or choose a theme. Each photograph has a design code, so you can point to exactly what caught your eye. A saved shortlist can combine details from several cakes. The design studio is a place to sketch a direction before discussing the final cake.
Talk to Mari
Orders and questions are discussed by message. Send the event date, the design reference, a rough guest count and your area. Flavours, ingredients, timing, delivery and the final quote are confirmed directly with Mari. A website enquiry does not reserve a date.
The journal
The journal combines existing articles attributed to Mari with editorial guides illustrated by the studio’s real portfolio. New editorial pieces are labelled Cumilla’s Cake Journal. Design studies describe what is visible in a photograph; they do not invent customer stories or present a reconstruction as a documented making process.
