Quick answers

  • Label the batch or examination year so its meaning is clear.
  • An alumni gathering at a private venue is different from a campus event.
  • Collect design feedback once, then let one organiser approve the final brief.

Choose which year tells the story

School admission year, SSC batch, HSC batch and the year of a reunion are not interchangeable. Agree the label before sending a number to Mari. ‘SSC Batch 2008’ says more than an unexplained ‘2008’, while two years need a description of the interval. If using Bangla digits, send them exactly as you want them written and ask how much fits on the cake or board.

A reunion does not require everybody’s name on the icing. Use the institution and batch on the cake, then place the attendance list, memories or signatures in a separately arranged booklet or card. Ask a local printer about that item and keep its deadline separate from the cake confirmation.

Select one memory people share

A classroom phrase, a familiar colour or a small drawing from an old photograph can make a reunion cake personal. Ask the group to choose one focal detail. Several complete campus buildings, a crest, a long message and a full class photograph may compete for limited space. Mari needs to confirm what can be represented at your size and quote.

Use only photographs or artwork you are allowed to share, and check permission before reproducing a school crest. Browse the hand-painted collection for technique and the signature collection for a clear message. Existing portfolio photographs do not establish orders from the institutions named in the guide.

Write the final venue, not only your old school

You might be meeting at a family home, a booked restaurant or an institution-approved venue. State which one and agree the receiving person. The school and college guide distinguishes city-centre schools, Dharmapur, Police Line, Shaktala, Kotbari and cantonment institutions. It helps you identify the context without implying permission to enter a campus.

If friends are travelling back to Cumilla, count confirmed attendees rather than every member of an online group. Arrange separately sourced local sweets or a khadi gift if they suit the gathering. Keep the actual cake portions and other purchases as separate decisions, with their own supplier instructions.

One organiser closes the brief

Use the enquiry form to keep the brief together. This original editorial checklist was reviewed on 6 November 2026; the linked institution guide contains the geographic source references. Current reunion programmes and venue rules must come from the organisers.

Questions people ask

Can the cake show our school logo and batch?

Check logo permission, send an approved reference and label the batch year clearly. Mari confirms feasibility, actual size and quote.

Can friends abroad coordinate the reunion cake?

Choose one organiser and a consenting local receiver. Write the Bangladesh date/time and confirm payment and handover directly with Mari.
