Walk through the final entrance

Write down the building, the correct side of the entrance and where a vehicle can stop appropriately. Check whether there are steps, a lift or a covered passage. If a landmark has entrances on different roads, identify the one you mean. • Have the receiver ready before the agreed arrival window.
• Keep the path clear and the receiving surface level and dry.
• Ask how the box should be protected without pressing on its lid.

Have storage ready before opening the door

Clear space for the actual cake box before it arrives. Ask about the cake’s required storage, its decorations and when to prepare it for serving. A cool room, a fan or rainy weather does not establish safe refrigeration. If the planned venue cannot keep the cake as instructed, resolve that before accepting the arrangement.
